Numbers, explained in plain English

Let's be honest: you didn't start your business to read financial reports, and as you grow, staying on top of them gets harder. Reports land late, spreadsheets show up without context, and the questions about cash and hiring keep landing back on your desk.

We connect the day-to-day work to your reporting and planning, so your numbers start telling you something. You see where your money is going, why the bank balance does not match revenue, and what to do next, without needing an accounting background. That is the feedback we hear most: "I finally get my numbers."

Four areas of support,
from bookkeeping to fractional CFO

Bookkeeping

from $200/mo

Your foundation. You get transaction coding, monthly bank and credit-card reconciliations, and month-end basics: balance sheet, income statement, cash flow.

On its own or included inside Controller.

What's included:

Cash-basis transaction coding
Month-end bank and credit-card reconcilations
Month-end balance sheet
Month-end income statement
Month-end cash flow

Best fit: founder-led businesses under $500,000 in revenue, or anyone who needs reliable books without hiring a bookkeeper.

Explore bookkeeping

Controller

from $1,500/mo

Everything in Bookkeeping, plus an owner for the recurring work. You get full AP and AR, payroll, biweekly follow-ups on check runs and collections, monthly management reporting, and two meetings a month with Kevin Hwang, Beankeeper's Founder and Managing Director.

Monthly management reporting

Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)

from $2,000/mo

Fractional CFO

Custom, generally from $2,500/mo

Senior leadership for the bigger decisions: a funding round, a cash challenge, a board request, audit prep. You get full corporate-finance coverage, someone to interpret what the numbers mean, and short- and long-term strategy.

Standalone, scoped to the hours you need.

What's included:

Full corporate-finance coverage
Plain-English interpretation of what numbers mean for the business
Short- and long-term financial strategy

Best fit: growth-stage businesses, often $3 million to $25 million in revenue, facing high-stakes decisions.

Why a fractional finance team beats full-time hires

Most ways of covering finance solve only part of the problem.

An in-house hire covers one seat. You get one person's expertise, and you carry a full salary plus benefits: a controller or CFO runs $150,000 to $250,000 or more a year before benefits, and even an entry bookkeeping role has a median wage near $49,210 (U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, 2024). Everything outside that role, plus hiring and managing it, still falls to you.

A single-service provider covers one layer. Bookkeeping-only keeps the records and stops there. A standalone fractional CFO gives senior guidance but still needs someone to own the books and forecasts underneath it. You get one piece done well and pay separately to coordinate the rest.

Beankeeper gives you the function: Bookkeeping, Controller, FP&A, and Fractional CFO sized to your stage and coordinated by one team, for less than building it in-house. Your fractional CFO works from books the team already owns, so there is nothing to stitch together.

Senior review, real answers, and room to grow

We're AI-enabled, never AI-replaced: modern tools cut the repetitive work, then a finance professional who knows your business checks it and tells you what it means, usually in hours, not days.

Controller and FP&A clients meet with Kevin twice a month, and our team works across the Americas, from the US to Buenos Aires, which keeps quality high without a full-time price tag.

Built for growing companies across industries

We work with founders and finance leaders at companies with 3 to 100 employees and $500,000 to $25 million in revenue, from ecommerce and professional services to real estate and legal. Marketing and advertising agencies are a strength of ours, and we specialize in your stage rather than one industry.

Already have a Head of Finance or CFO? We work as their right hand, so you get an experienced team, not another full-time hire.

Results from founders like you

A marketing technology company came to us at about $1.2 million in revenue with no finance function. We built one from scratch, then put the numbers to work: reporting flagged too much overhead, leadership moved that spend into sales and marketing, and revenue passed $3 million in about a year.

  • Revenue grew from about $1.2 million to more than $3 million in roughly a year
  • EBITDA moved from break-even to a 30% run rate
  • Month-end close landed within five business days, every month
  • Controller and fractional CFO support, from one team
